That Kid

Sometimes I wonder how old my husband is.
Like when he leaves the fridge wide open.
Or when I find him watching Frozen- by himself.
Or when he pouts because the banana bread is too hot to eat because I just. pulled. it. out. of. the. oven. 2. seconds. ago.

Ogden Temple

A couple weeks ago, we got to go to the Ogden Temple open house. It didn't work out that Matthew could go with us so I invited my mom to join instead.

The temple open house is basically a guided tour through the temple (before it is dedicated) that anyone can attend. You can see a lot of the rooms in the temple and there is information available to those who want to learn about the temple or the specific rooms that they guide you through. Generally, it is probably a once in a lifetime experience - but here in Utah over the last decade or so, we've been pretty spoiled. I've personally had the chance to go through at least 3.

As we were walking through, Lincoln saw me holding the hand rail on the stairs and tried to reach to hold it too. He's pretty funny.

It was a good day.

After you got through the temple, there was a tent with more info and displays and a place to ask questions and whatnot. Lincoln was really cooperative with pictures here:

Sometimes...

Sometimes you just need to be in bed for 11 hours. And after you do, you feel better about life. Weird. And when that happens, you have to give large props to your husband who kept the baby company so that you could sleep.

Matthew's the boss.

No One Noticed

No one noticed that I hadn't bought Oreos in a long time. Like, so long of a time that I had forgotten when I bought them last. So I rewarded myself with a few... Packages. They were on sale, ok?! I even got some Halloween Oreos. Aka the best Oreos.

No one noticed that my garden is an utter failure this year. I'm pretty upset. My biggest pumpkin was about the size of a softball. Dangit. And someone freaking ate it!!

None of my bosses noticed that I almost QUADRUPLED my weekly sales last week.
A 'Hey, good job!' would have been really nice today.
I won't get one. At all.

High 5

I'm giving a large HIGH5 to Birch Creek Golf Course for having a nursing mother's room in their club house. Awesome. Even better, their nursing mother's room is larger than the one at the Salt Lake Temple! Splain that one to me. I wish I had noticed at the beginning of the day. That would have saved Lincoln and I both a lot of sweat.

We were there last week for the Shriners Golf Tournament. And we had fun.

And Lincoln decided to eat some grass.
